Aurlandsfjorden 4 Day

4 Days Running

4 days of varied running - mostly on good trails. This route takes in ridges above the fjord, the deep Aurlandsdalen and the mountain pass from Finse to Steinbergdalshytta.

70km Adventure

Most days are on average 25km. One day has only downhill, another has 1200m ascent . We try to mix it up so you get a very varied and interesting adventure!

4 Nights

We are really proud of the places that we have partnered up with for these trips. Flåmsbrygga, Aurland 292 and Steinbergdalshytta all offer something special and are the perfect places to relax after a long day out on the trails.

Boat and Train

This is what we feel is unique about a Springetur! You will get to experience a route that combines the Flamsbåna train and a rib boat to a remote trail starting at the fjord.  We have taken experience from the Alps to use transport options to combine all the amazing mountain trails.

START IN FLÅM

We meet in Flåm at the hotel Flåmbrygga, where you will be met by a member of Spring and we will have a dinner together at 19:30. Flåm is an ideal start location as it is easily connected by train and bus to both Oslo and Bergen. Both the train and bus stops are located 100m from Flåmsbrygga. Before dinner we will look through the itinerary and answer any questions you have.

DAY 1

After breakfast, you get to relax on one of the worlds most beautiful train journeys from Flåm to Finse. You have plenty of time to take in the views and get into the running mood as you slowly climb up to 1200m to Finse. From here you will be running along the hilltops on the trail towards Steindalsberghytta. This trail is relatively flat and throughout the day you will climb 400m, a nice start to the trip. You can take all the time in the world to reach Steindalsberghytta, where you will be staying that night. By the time you arrive, your luggage will have arrived.

DAY 4

After sleeping at Aurland 292 for a second night, you have a choice on the last day - either take a rest day and travel back to Flåm and the car/train home when you like or enjoy one last day running on trails back to Flåm. You will start at Aurland 292 and have a few km on the road til the trail starts. Then it climbs steeply til you have great view of the fjord. You run along nice mountain paths until you begin to drop down into the Flåm valley. You will finish where you started and then pick up your luggage at Flamsbrygga and either collect your car or take the train back to Oslo/Bergen.
